Choose between waterhole views or complete bush seclusion

We offer two suite types. Both provide the same level of comfort and ease. The difference lies in location and outlook, allowing you to choose the experience that best suits how you like to spend your time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Both suite types offer the same level of comfort and service. The difference is in location and outlook:

  • Water-facing Suites are positioned along the edge of the waterhole, close to the main lodge. Wildlife is often visible from your veranda throughout the day, and access to the shared areas is level and short.
  • Bush-facing Suites are set further into the bush, offering greater seclusion and privacy, and each includes a private plunge pool. The walk to the main lodge is longer and across uneven ground.

If you prefer to have wildlife in view all day and like being close to the lodge, choose a Water-facing Suite. If privacy, seclusion, and a plunge pool are priorities, choose a Bush-facing Suite.

All suites are generously sized and designed as private retreats. Each suite accommodates a maximum of two guests, with a choice of:

  • A king-size bed
  • Twin beds pushed together
  • Twin beds separated

Please let us know your preferred configuration at the time of booking so we can have the suite set up exactly as you like it.

No. Wi-Fi is available in the main lodge areas, but it is intentionally not extended to the suites. The idea is to encourage a gentler disconnection during your stay, and to allow the natural rhythm of the bush to take over when you are back in your own space.

If you need to stay in touch, the shared areas of the lodge offer a quiet, comfortable spot to do so.

Water-facing Suites are the most suitable option for guests with limited mobility. They are closer to the main lodge and accessed along relatively level pathways.

Bush-facing Suites involve a longer walk across uneven natural ground and are not recommended for guests who have difficulty walking. If mobility is a consideration, please mention it when you enquire and we will help identify the best suite for your stay.

Please note that Arathusa is not wheelchair accessible.

All suites are spaced well apart and designed to feel entirely private. You will not see or hear neighbouring suites from your veranda, and the natural layout of the lodge means you can easily spend time in your suite without encountering other guests.

Bush-facing Suites offer an even greater degree of separation, with more distance from the main lodge and denser surrounding bush.

You are welcome to request a specific suite, and we will do our best to accommodate the request based on availability. If you have stayed with us before and have a favourite, do let us know and we will keep it in mind when confirming your booking.

Yes. Your suite is serviced in the morning, typically while you are out on the game drive or at breakfast. A second turndown service happens in the early evening, while you are out on the afternoon drive or at dinner, so the suite is ready for your return at the end of the day.
